The first play in OYT's Campus as a Stage After Work: An Evening of Theatre series is Bachelor of Art: Finland!

Welcome to Finland in the future, not too distant but still not quite tomorrow, where 12 talented artists have given blood, sweat and art in front of live studio audiences and millions of people watching at home. 9 weeks and various challenges later only 3 contestants stand strong fighting for the title of Bachelor of Art and a life-changing opportunity from the Finnish government to pursue their artistic dreams. It’s time for the finale!

Bachelor of Art: Finland is a parody of the future of art funding in Finland in the form of reality TV. This original play, written by Madi Blumm and directed by Tuomas Salo, combines acting with several musical and visual elements to give the audience a chance to follow an exciting reality show finale from the safety of their seats. Which artist wins the opportunity of a lifetime and who makes that decision?

Campus as a Stage After Work events are part of the University of Oulu's official Oulu2026 culture capital programme. The aim of the Campus as a Stage After Work events is to bring the campuses to life even after working and studying days. Come and spend atmospheric evenings on campus!

Performances: 25 February 2026 at 6 pm and 25 March 2026 at 5 pm

Venue: Agora, University of Oulu's Linnanmaa campus (Pentti Kaiteran katu 1)

Duration: 45 minutes

Age recommendation: 7+
