Casting: Bachelor of Art: Finland

CASTING CALL

Sunday 30.11. at 10–15 (10 am to 3 pm) at Valvenäyttämö (Cultural Centre Valve, 2nd floor)

Are you someone who doesn’t speak Finnish but would like to act and perform? Are you a native Finnish speaker who would like to try acting in English? Do you want to be a part of the official Oulu2026 programme either onstage or offstage?

Bachelor of Art: Finland is an original play by The Student Theatre of Oulu (OYT) that premiers as a part of the Campus as a Stage event at the University of Oulu. The play is a parody of the future of art funding in Finland in the form of reality TV. Which artist wins the chance of a lifetime and who makes that decision?

We are looking for actors and people for tech, make up, costume design and visual design (both still images and video/animation). Play is practiced and performed between December 2025 and March 2026 and in English (only one character requires some Finnish) but your English doesn’t have to be perfect in any way! Anyone over 18 can apply!
